The GloGerm powder comes in a 4oz container and is used to demonstrate proper surface cleaning as well as the spread of germs, especially cross-contamination.
GloGerm Powder is the dry GloGerm formula for showing how contamination spreads. Dust a little on a cutting board, utensil, door handle or other surface, let people carry on as usual, then check under UV light. The glowing trail shows how far the powder travelled from surface to hand and from hand to the next surface. It also works for surface cleaning demonstrations: apply it, clean the surface, and look for what was missed.
Powder is chalkier than gel and is made for surfaces and objects, not for skin. For handwashing training, choose the gel.
Powder only glows under a long-wave UV-A lamp. A 365nm lamp gives the clearest result. GermWise sells the UVL 1004 (20 LED) and the UVL 1007 (50 LED), which suits larger groups and brighter rooms.
